The alert comes just hours after the county was added to the first heat-health warning of the year as temperatures are expected to ramp up in the coming days. The latest move from the Met Office, which was confirmed on Thursday (June 8), applies to the whole of Leicestershire as well as vast swathes of the UK, with a warning that heavy rain and hail could batter the region.
